Who we are and what we do

Torvannis is an automated trading platform company based in Thika, Kenya, founded in 2021 by a team of software engineers and retail traders who were tired of adapting tools built for other markets to the realities of trading from East Africa. The company develops and operates a strategy automation platform that connects traders' own rule-based systems to live broker APIs — handling execution, risk enforcement, and performance monitoring so that traders can run disciplined, consistent strategies without being tied to a screen. Our clients range from individual forex and commodities traders in Nairobi, Thika, and Nakuru who are automating their first strategy, to small proprietary trading desks managing multiple concurrent positions across several broker accounts. The platform currently serves traders on MetaTrader 4 and MT5-compatible brokers, with additional integrations in active development. In our first three years of operation we have configured and deployed more than 140 distinct client strategies, collected backtest feedback from over 90 active users, and maintained a platform uptime record of 99.6% across all trading sessions.

How we work — and where we draw the line

Our process begins with a strategy mapping session: you bring your rules — written in plain language, a spreadsheet, or an existing script — and a member of our team translates them into the platform's parameter format. We then build a backtest run together, review the equity curve and drawdown metrics, and agree on the risk-control settings before anything goes near a live account. We do not manage money, advise on which instruments to trade, or suggest strategies. Torvannis is purely an execution and monitoring infrastructure provider. The results you achieve depend entirely on the quality of the trading logic you bring and the conditions of the market you trade in. We are transparent about that boundary because respecting it is what allows us to build a tool that is genuinely useful rather than one that overpromises. Our team works from Thika, Kenya, Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00 EAT. Support queries receive an initial response within four business hours on the Pro and Fund plans, and within 24 hours on Starter. We do not offer weekend emergency lines — if that level of support is essential to your operation, please factor it into your plan selection.

Three things that shape how we build

The values that show up in every product decision and every client conversation.

Honest about limitations

We don't tell you the bot will make you money. We tell you exactly what the platform does — and doesn't do — before you sign up. The backtest shows past performance on historical data; live results will differ. We'd rather have fewer clients who understand the tool than many who don't.

Local by design

Support is based in Thika. Pricing is in Kenyan Shillings. Broker integrations are tested on platforms traders in East Africa actually use. We built for this context specifically, not as an afterthought to a product designed for European or US markets.

Depth over breadth

We ship fewer features than some competitors and test each one carefully before release. The automation engine, backtesting module, and monitoring dashboard have each gone through multiple internal iterations. We'd rather give you three things that work reliably than ten that behave unpredictably.
